Climbing and Attention Difficulties
Early diagnosis of attention difficulties, and treatment that helps a child as early as possible, matters a great deal for improving overall functioning and avoiding the difficulties the condition can create in daily life. Movement and sports-based treatment is recognized as effective alongside emotional and social treatment for attention difficulties.
Climbing suits this goal very well, since the activity itself requires internal focus and connecting the different parts of a route. On top of that, climbing can be individual or in a group, and offers both challenges and successes along the way.
